Terri's
love of dancing started at the age of four when she began her dance
training with tap, jazz, acrobats, and ballet at a studio located
in Michigan. She spent many years showcasing her talent
in recitals, local parades, the Whiting Auditorium, the
Cheasaning Showboat, and Lowell Showboat, just to name a few. She was
captured many times in local newspapers and was even dubbed "the little
charmer in the middle" because of her bright smile and enthusiasm about
dancing. In her early twenties, Terri became a Ballroom,Swing,
and Latin dance instructor for a local studio. After several years
of dance training and student showcases, she became an independent
instructor and began expanding her teaching methods and styles. A few
years later, Terri opened her own Professional Dance Studio in
Flint. Student choreography started expanding into showcase performances, which
lead into pro-am competitions with her students always placing 1st,
2nd, or 3rd and Terri herself winning Teacher Awards. As her clientele
continued to grow, she relocated her studio three times in seven years.
At the present time, Terri is an independent instructor who is skilled
at dancing and professionally trained at teaching Waltz, Foxtrot, East
Coast Swing,West Coast Swing, Hustle, Salsa/Mambo, Night Club II Step,
Night Club, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Tango, Samba, and more. She has been invited
by several local colleges and dance studio's to choreograph routines
and opening dance shows. She has been coached by U.S. Champion dancers
in Swing, Hustle, Ballroom, and Latin. She is a past Jack & Jill
Competitor and finalist, and a current trainer for Jack & Jill
competitions. She is a member of the Great Lakes Swing Club, and member
of the NDCA when she is competing. Since 2007, Terri has been teaching
